Land's
End in front of the Finisterra and Solmar Hotels and Terrasol condominiums
on the peninsula's very tip is wide, smooth and wonderful for strolling,
snoozing, sun-bathing and listening to the sound of the surf. Whale watching
and enjoying the scenery are the favorite pastimes.
Lover's
Beach,
Playa de Amor, is small and sparkling, bounded by the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez. It is hidden behind Cabo's landmark arch at Land's End. Most people either arrive by water taxi, glass-bottom boat, kayak or jet-ski, though you can get there by hiking over the
rocks on Land's End beaches from the Hotel Solmar. This is the only place
where you walk from the Sea of Cortez to the Pacific Ocean in a matter
of seconds. The contrast is unforgettable.
El Medano offers plenty to do and little surf, and is Cabo's main beach. It is swim-safe and highly recommended for families. This is a fun place to hang out, lined with restaurants and beach shops, selling curios and renting
all sorts of exotic water sports equipment. Jet skis, wind surfers, fishing
boats, canoes and diving gear are all available.
Playa Solmar is an easy walk from downtown Cabo and runs from the rocks of Land's End to El Pedregal. For sunset lovers and romantics, there's no better place to watch the sizzling sunsets and an occasional apprearance of the gray and humpback whales from January to March.
Whale's
Head, Cabeza de Ballena, for sport fishing and snorkeling,
or just relaxing.

Maria Bay, Km. 12 near the Hotel Twin Dolphin, is one of the world's
most beautiful bays. Flanked by rugged rock promontories, Santa Maria is a must-do for those in search of the idyllic tropical beach. Vermilion mountains drop into the water at either
side of this perfect moon-shaped beach. Ideal for swimming, snorkeling
and diving. Bring your own picnic. Make a day of it.

Km. 15 Chileno, once a small port, is great for swimming, diving, waterskiing
and surfing. It is considered Cabo's best all around beach. The only Corridor beach with restrooms, Chileno also has a cooling palm grove for shade. Rocky reefs run parallel to the beach with tropical fish and myriad sea creatures, creating some of the best chances for snorkelers to view sea life. Sports equipment can be rented. Local guides will help you
on your way.

diving, or snorkeling, its scenery is spectacular. Palmilla has shaded palapas bu no equipment rentals are available. It's also
the launching pad for the Palmilla fleet, one of the finest in the world.
Acapulquito,
The "Hot" surfing beach. If it's too rough for your tastes,
don't worry...people-watching makes up for it.
Costa
Azul Beach is a favorite with local surfers, with competitions held each August. Swim with caution and watch our for surfers! San José
del Cabo's fishing fleet is based here and at daybreak it's a sight worth
seeing as the armada chases the newborn sun.
